Just another example of how bluestone caps can make any stone stairs build look that much more crisp. By varrying the thickness of the bluestone and the overhand, you can dramatically change the look and feel of the stairs.
An example of using very natural / raw stony creek granite (which is pink) to create a path from out to a dock. A lot of the work in Stony Creek and the Connecticut shoreline is built from this granite, and part of the beauty is the raw angle and cut of the stone.

A Stony Creek pink granite wall. Built dry and then backed with cement, which means no cement shows through the joint. A drywall will outlast a wall with cement in the joints, because over time the cement will fail but the stone with hold forever. Granite is a classic stone but must be trimmed individually.
